Our story

After several years working in the world of decoration and painting, I discovered the Tahitian pearl through various encounters. It was a revelation. A true treasure of nature, it immediately fascinated me with its singularity, its reflections, and its raw character.

Gradually, the desire to create jewelry became apparent, with the clear intention of working only with natural materials: pearls, leather, and precious metals. This is how Moana was born, meaning "ocean" in Tahitian.

Alice, a French designer based in the South of France

Moana Tahitian Pearls is the workshop of Alice, a jewelry designer based in the South of France, near Cannes (Alpes-Maritimes). "Moana" means "ocean" in Tahitian—a tribute to the origin of the pearls I select, even though the workshop itself is not located in French Polynesia.

Each piece is handcrafted in my workshop, either as a one-of-a-kind item or in small batches. I design jewelry for women, men, and children—ranging from minimalist to sophisticated styles—and I accept custom orders.

Since 2014

The journey began in 2014. More than ten years and nearly 5,000 fulfilled orders later, the workshop has received over 1,300 customer reviews, maintaining an average rating of 4.9/5 on its original Etsy shop (holding "Star Seller" status).

Artisanal craftsmanship and carefully selected materials

The Tahitian and Australian pearls I use are hand-selected for their baroque shapes and natural hues, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity. The leather is braided or rolled by hand and paired with 925 sterling silver, 18-karat gold plating, or semi-precious stones, depending on the design.

Good to know: we are not a pearl farm in Polynesia

There are several businesses with names similar to ours (such as pearl farms or tourist shops in Moorea or Papeete). Moana Tahitian Pearls is a jewelry design workshop based in mainland France; we do not cultivate pearls, nor do we have a physical store in French Polynesia. We source our Tahitian and Australian pearls from specialized suppliers and transform them in our workshop into fine pearl and leather jewelry.
