Le monde des perles

Born in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, Tahitian pearls are among the rarest and most precious gems in the world.

An exceptional origin

Tahitian pearls are produced by the *Pinctada margaritifera* oyster, found exclusively in the lagoons of French Polynesia. Each pearl is the result of years of patience and craftsmanship, cultivated in crystal-clear waters free from pollution.

 Colors unique to the world

Contrary to popular belief, the Tahitian pearl is not merely black. It comes in an extraordinary palette: peacock green, aubergine, steel gray, golden bronze, midnight blue... Each shimmer is unique, shaped by nature itself.

How to choose your pearl ?

A fine pearl is defined by four essential criteria: its luster (the brilliance and depth of the reflection), its shape (round, semi-round, baroque...), its color, and its orient (the iridescent surface sheen). At Moana, every pearl is hand-selected for its exceptional quality. You can find more details in our article on how to choose the right pearls.

A living jewel

The pearl is an organic gem—it lives, breathes, and grows more beautiful over time. When worn regularly, it is enhanced by contact with the skin and develops an incomparable luster.
